Coldest game attended?
Orient away at Brisbane Road in the FA Cup in 87....Paul Hilton scoring from memory only to concede a last minute pen....think the replay got pushed back a few times due to the weather as well.

Steaua Bucharest away....didn’t dress appropriately and ended up having to buy a hat and gloves in the ground from an Old Bill looking to make a few quid.

West Ham 2v0 Portsmouth Boxing day 2009, I was sitting with my feet in the snow at the front of 2nd level of Bobby Moore stand, but to be fair I was well wrapped up and not too cold.

Strangely my coldest game was in the Camp Nou. I did not think it would be that cold and should have had a better coat. The north stand is open at the back and I had 2 hours of a cold wind hitting my neck and shoulders, it was like sitting in a cold wind tunnel, I was froozen

Re: Coldest game attended?

Funny that the Carlisle game was at the end of September, I remember away at palace about five years ago when it was 30 degrees on the first of October, everyone chucking beer about on the concourse

Another vote for the Orient cup game in the 80s, wasn't so cold from where I travelled from so could've put a thicker coat on as well...

Sarge 11.52. Forgot that one. Flew back from the canaries that day, the doors in the car were frozen shut at Gatwick. Kids refused to go to the game so wife drove them home and I got the train. Think we lost 3 nil. Was it he game Jason Roberts broke Collins nose with an elbow?

Stood on that bastard open terrace at Roker Park. Think it ended 0-0. I remember after twenty minutes my cheek and ear had gone numb. Clapping hurt. I had one of those poky ski jackets on and it did nothing to keep out that wind.

Coldest non football game was England v Italy in Rugby about 5 years ago or so… drinking down by the thames and it started to freeze… daft thing was we got marooned in the boozer… we knew we was in problems when a canadian goose went to come in the pub…. the bar staff stuck on waders and were giving piggy backs back to dry land… I rolled up me jeans and went for wade… never known anything so cold in all my life

Re: Coldest game attended?
Coldest sunderland in the cup 1992 at roker park .

Was that the one where we had a minutes silence for 6 Miners that had been killed and someone shouted out "never mind lads, that's 6 more jobs"

Was bloody cold, you could see the North Sea from the open terrace and the wind blew right across us.

Ended in a draw and we blew the replay with a dodgy backpass (can't remember the player, but I think he was Dutch and on loan from Everton?)

22 Feb 2005 Gillingham vs West Ham. No bloody roof on their meccano stand. Was stamping up and down for the entire game to keep warm. The result? 1-0 Harewood so was worth it in the end.

Re: Coldest game attended?
Gillingham away about 15 years ago. Harewood scored the winner I think. Freezing and was a blizzard in the last ten mins. I was at the top of the away end which is that shitty temporary stand that has been there for years

Takashi Mike: agree that Barnsley game in 1990 was really tucking cold. And it was our first league defeat after 21? games. Really open end on the top of a hill.

Re: Coldest game attended?
Wettest I have been was Eintracht, biblical rain on the walk to the ground that did not stop in the queue - absolutely soaked from head to foot

Inside looking along the South Bank you could see the steam rise from individual heads

The constant rain just held the noise in, you could lierally feel the noise, it rumbled all night

Greatest football night ever for me that
